As a Towner Communications Telephony Technician III, the individual will receive, document, and troubleshoot service requests from customers. In addition, assist other Mitel technical resources and Mitel customers with basic support for system operations, maintenance, database changes, troubleshooting, remote installations and minor upgrades.
Diagnose and isolate switch related Hardware and Software problems.
Repair switch related telecommunication equipment to the board level.
Perform preventive maintenance on telecom equipment. Install switch software and hardware upgrades.
Perform MACs (Moves, Adds, and Changes) on the Mitel Pointspan systems, as well as OEM equipment such as ACD reporting, voicemail, recorded announcement systems.
Explain and train customers and end-users on feature use.
Maintain site activity logs.
Provide timely reports to customers and management.
Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with: Customers, Co-workers, Management, Employees in other departments, and Contacts outside the company.
3+ years of Legacy PBX experience
Ability to pass extensive background check including: credit and security.
Up to 25% possible travel
A.S. in Electronics with telephony training or, 3 years of telephony related experience.
Basic PC / Windows skills. Position requires excellent interpersonal skills.
Basic understanding of IP / Data Networks is a plus
