Now, we’re looking for a proactive, detail-obsessed, calendar-wrangling Administrative Assistant to keep our VP of Business Development (VPBD) on track, on time, and on top of their game.
If you’re the type who gets irrationally excited about an organized inbox, loves crossing things off a to-do list, and can handle chaos with a laugh, read on.
This isn’t just a “support role.” You’ll be the right hand to our VP of Business Development (80% of your time)—running their schedule, managing communications, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. The other 20%? Supporting our C-level team as needed.
Master of the Inbox – Manage 40-50 emails daily, filter out the noise, and ensure key messages get the attention they deserve.
Scheduling Ninja – Juggle complex calendars across multiple time zones, book meetings, and make sure the VPBD shows up prepped and ready.
Communication Pro – Draft, edit, and polish reports, presentations, and executive communications.
Gatekeeper & Customer Handler – Field calls, client interactions, and vendor inquiries with professionalism and poise.
Project & Event Coordination – Help plan and execute internal and external meetings, client visits, and company events.
Problem-Solver Extraordinaire – See issues before they arise, handle last-minute changes like a pro, and keep things moving efficiently.

Self-Starter with Initiative – We need someone who sees what needs to be done and does it—no waiting around for instructions.
Customer-Facing & Professional – You’ll interact with clients, vendors, and partners, so polished communication is a must.
Tech-Savvy & Microsoft Fluent – You should know your way around Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.
Quick Thinker & Adaptable – Things change fast here. If you thrive under pressure and love solving problems on the fly, you’ll fit in.
Sense of Humor – Our team works hard and jokes harder. If you can handle direct communication, occasional sarcasm, and fast-paced decision-making, welcome aboard.
In 6 Months: You’ve streamlined the VP’s schedule, anticipate their needs before they ask, and have built strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
In 1 Year: You’re not just an assistant—you’re the glue holding executive operations together. You’ve optimized scheduling, anticipate business needs, and are a trusted right-hand to leadership. If you’re ambitious, there’s potential to grow into Operations, Executive Support, or Project Management.

Salary: $40,000 – $50,000 (Kansas City market rate, based on experience).
